Two police officers in Florida helped bring a toddler back to life after she was pulled from a pool with no pulse as bystanders said there was no hope.

We often hear about God working through people, and sometimes those people wear uniforms and show up right when all hope seems lost.

These moments remind us that our lives are in God’s hands and that He can place the right people in the right place at the right time to carry out His purpose.

Toddler Found Lifeless in the Pool

Two-year-old Keilanys Guayapero was found unresponsive in a pool in Doral, Florida, on a Saturday night after being underwater for over a minute. Her father pulled her out of the pool, and 911 was called right away.

Doral police officers Ysabella Valdes and Jhojan Gallo arrived quickly at the scene on Northwest 41st Street.

Officers Refuse to Give Up and Witness a Miracle

According to Police Chief Edwin Lopez, when the officers got there, bystanders had already given up hope.

“When these officers arrived, several passersby said, ‘Don’t even attempt to save the baby’s life,’” he shared. But Officer Valdes refused to accept that.

Valdes began performing CPR, praying over the child with each chest compression, asking God to help the little girl breathe. Then something incredible happened — Keilanys gasped. “I was just focused on doing the best I could to try and bring her back,” said Valdes.

Officer Gallo also shared the intense pressure they felt. “It got to a point where I was getting emotional, but I had to revert back and stay focused,” he said.

After the officers revived the girl, they handed her off to paramedics who took her to Jackson West Medical Center.

Family Reunites with Hero Officers

On Wednesday, just days after the incident, Keilanys smiled as she met the officers who saved her life during a heartfelt reunion at the Doral Police Station.

Her father, Kevin Guayapero, called it a miracle. “It’s just great. I don’t have words to describe it,” Valdes said of seeing the child alive and well.

The Doral Police Department plans to honor Officers Valdes and Gallo for their life-saving actions.

When those bystanders concluded the baby had no chance to survive, God was not finished with her story.

He worked through the hands and hearts of those officers, proving that His power can move in the most desperate moments.

Keilanys’ survival reminds us that God alone writes the final word over every life.

Let us thank Him for this miracle and continue to pray for this little girl and her family as they heal and move forward.
