A school cafeteria worker who feeds hungry kids every day got the surprise of her lifetime when a helicopter landed at her school with a gift that changed everything.

We all know someone who gives and gives without asking for anything back. Christina is one of those people, and her story shows us how God sees the quiet work we do when nobody’s watching.
Christina works in the cafeteria at a school in Challis, Idaho. She makes sure every child gets lunch, even when their families can’t pay for it.
Sometimes she pays for those meals herself. She also started a food pantry at the school where families can get what they need. Christina wrote a grant and got the school a big walk-in freezer so they could store more food for students.
But while Christina was taking care of everyone else, her own family was struggling. Her husband Eric works as a logger. One day, he was cutting down trees when something terrible happened.
One tree fell on another tree and made it flip up. It hit Eric in the back of his head. He got a bad brain injury and needed major surgery. He’s getting better, but he still can’t work.
Christina started working extra jobs at a gas station to pay the bills and take care of their three kids. The medical bills kept piling up.
Secret Santa is someone who gives away money to people who need it in eastern Idaho. When Secret Santa heard about Christina, he wanted to help.
The East Idaho News team flew to her school in a helicopter. They landed right on the football field while all the students watched.
The whole school came into the gym. Christina thought something was going on with the holiday food baskets she helps with every year.
Instead, the team called her up front. They handed her a box. When she opened it, she found a check for $25,000.
“Are you being serious right now?” Christina said. Her voice shook. “I don’t even know what to say honestly right now.”
The team told her that Secret Santa wanted to send his love more than anything. They reminded everyone watching that we can all be secret Santas. We don’t need a million dollars. We just need to do something kind for someone.
This reminds us that God sees every kind thing we do. He knows when we give our last dollar to help someone else. He knows when we work extra hours to keep our families fed. And sometimes, when we least expect it, He sends help our way too.
