A UPS driver surprised a group of teenagers when he joined their Slip ‘N Slide party during his delivery route in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
We all know how busy a UPS driver must be. We often see them quickly delivering packages and rushing to the next stop.
Sometimes we see some drivers go the extra mile through acts of kindness, selflessness and heroic acts. But we rarely see them take time for pure fun.
One UPS driver changed that when he decided to make some teenagers smile.
Robert Stillman was watching his son celebrate high school graduation with friends in their front yard.
The boys had set up a Slip ‘N Slide to beat the summer heat. They were having a blast sliding around when their UPS driver pulled up with a delivery.
“We were celebrating my son’s high school graduation. He set up a Slip ‘N Slide and he and his friends were sliding on it when UPS came with a delivery,” Stillman told Storyful.
The teenagers looked at their delivery driver and did something wonderful. They asked him to join their fun.
Most of us would probably think a working man in uniform would just smile and say no. But this driver was different. After he finished his delivery, he actually said yes.
He ran right onto that slippery slide in his full UPS uniform and everything. Stillman caught it all on video.
You can see the boys giving him high fives and fist bumps before he grabbed his boots and went back to work.
“Sometimes you gotta have fun,” the driver said.
