A smartly dressed dog went viral after being removed from its intoxicated owner by British Transport Police at Wolverhampton railway station, England.
In August 2023, the British Transport Police received a text report about a woman who appeared intoxicated and was not adequately caring for her dog. Upon their arrival at Wolverhampton railway station, officers found the dog, named Mia, dressed in a mini blue collared shirt.
Concerned for Mia’s welfare, they temporarily placed her in a police van. The police shared an image of Mia peering out from the patrol car window on their social media account, which quickly garnered attention and comments from the public.

Mia’s unusual attire, coupled with her predicament, sparked a wave of comments on social media. Many users were relieved to see Mia safe, while others humorously questioned if she had been arrested for ‘crimes against fashion.’
The British Transport Police confirmed that Mia is doing well in the care of the woman’s relatives. They assured the public that Mia is “happy and being looked after by her owner’s family while their inquiries are ongoing.”
