It is important for us to always have a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving toward God for everything He has done for us. When we are thankful to God, His blessings in our lives remain because He is pleased with us.

As we approach the season of Thanksgiving, let us remember all the blessings that God has bestowed upon us throughout the year and come before Him with a heart full of gratitude.
We should be thankful to God and bless Him with all that is within us—heart, spirit, soul, and body—forgetting none of the benefits that we have received from the Lord. He has forgiven all our sins. In so many ways we have fallen short, yet because of His love and kindness, He continues to forgive us.
His healing has rested upon our lives, for He alone heals all our diseases and redeems our lives from destruction. Many times this year we may have faced sickness or situations that could have harmed us, but God in His mercy has delivered and healed us.
Here are Bible verses that will guide and help you remember the things that God has done in your life and fill you with gratitude during this season:
1. 2 Corinthians 9:7 “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2. Hebrews 12:28 “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”
3. Jonah 2:9 “But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving, I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.”
4. 2 Corinthians 4:15 “For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.”
