A cute video capturing the hearts of netizens shows a child using sign language to communicate with her deaf father. This heartwarming moment was caught on camera.
The child is Maria Sofia Angulo Nava, who is just one and a half years old and hails from Sonora, Mexico. Both her parents are deaf, which prompted her to learn sign language at a very young age.
Her mother, Christina, and her father, Jonathan, are deaf. Communicating with them could be challenging for a little toddler, however, Maria’s early exposure to sign language enables her to express her needs clearly.
In the video, a hungry Maria gently pats her father on the hand and then places her fingers in her mouth, signaling that she wants “bread.”
