A cute video capturing the hearts of netizens shows a child using sign language to communicate with her deaf father. This heartwarming moment was caught on camera.
The child is Maria Sofia Angulo Nava, who is just one-and-a-half years old and hails from Sonora, Mexico. Both her parents are deaf, which prompted her to learn sign language at a very young age.
Her mother, Christina, and her father, Jonathan, are deaf. Communicating with them could be challenging for a little toddler; however, Maria’s early exposure to sign language enables her to express her needs clearly.
The video features a hungry Maria gently patting her father on the hand and placing all her fingers in her mouth, signaling that she is hungry and desires “bread.”
