The child is Maria Sofia Angulo Nava, who is just one-and-a-half years old and hails from Sonora, Mexico. Both her parents are deaf, which prompted her to learn sign language at a very young age.
Her mother, Christina, and her father, Jonathan, are deaf. Communicating with them could be challenging for a little toddler; however, Maria’s early exposure to sign language enables her to express her needs clearly.
