Actor Christian Bale Builds 12 Homes to Keep Foster Siblings Together

Christian Bale, a well-known actor, has recently started a significant project that’s been in his heart for over 16 years. On Wednesday, he began the construction of twelve homes and a community center in Los Angeles County. This effort aims to keep siblings in foster care together, creating a sense of family and unity.

Together California Christian Bale

Bale has lived in California for many years and was moved by the challenges faced by foster children, especially siblings being separated. This motivated him to act. He went to Chicago to learn more by meeting with people involved in child and family services. During this journey, he teamed up with Tim McCormick, an advocate for children, and Dr. Eric Esrailian from UCLA. They started Together California, a non-profit aimed at helping these kids.

This project, which will be finished in April 2025, is expected to cost $22 million. Bale, who just turned 50, is passionate about the difference this project can make. He talked about the need for such initiatives and the positive impact they can have.

Bale explained, “With our Together California model, this village is something completely new and needed. It’s hard to imagine the pain of children who lose their parents and then get separated from their siblings. We’re creating a place to help fix that. I hope this will be the first of many projects like this. It’s important for people in California and Los Angeles to join us. We need to help our children.”

Through this initiative, Bale is not only providing a solution but also inviting the community to join in making a difference. He believes in the importance of keeping foster siblings together, offering them a nurturing environment to grow up in. This project is a step towards changing how foster care works, aiming to maintain the bond between siblings and provide them with a stable, loving home.

Let us be inspired by Christian Bale’s heartwarming project to remember that God calls us to care for the least among us, especially children. Through acts of kindness and unity, we embody the love of Christ.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” – James 1:27 (NIV)
