A group of wiener dogs raced across a hockey rink during the 19th annual Sioux Nation Pet Clinic wiener dog race in Sioux Falls. The video of their adorable effort is spreading smiles everywhere now.
Those little dachshunds had to run across actual ice. That made it extra hard for them to get any traction on the slippery surface. Still most of the dogs followed instructions and they stayed on course mostly. That alone was enough to warm hearts for sure.
The race started with qualifying heats that narrowed down the field. A wiener dog named Simon made it through two rounds then he reached the final four championship race. He ended up claiming victory in the final round.
