101-Year-Old Breaks World Record In 100-Meter Dash

Julia “Hurricane” Hawkins is 101-year-old, but this brave lady shows it’s just a number. She competed in the National Senior Games in Birmingham, Alabama and finished the 100-meter dash in 40.2 seconds, winning the world record for women over 100 years old. She also became the oldest woman who competed in the USA Track and Field Outdoors Masters Championships (USATF). Despite her age, she loves to do biking, gardening and running. This young lady is really an inspiration for all of us.

Verse of the Day

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. — Colossians 4:5-6 (NIV)
