A baby elephant at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington D.C. has been melting millions of hearts with an adorable bubble bath video.

When we look at God’s creations — whether it’s the sky full of countless stars, the mountains that stand tall against the horizon, or the animals that roam this earth, we can always find a reason to smile.
No matter how tough the week has been or how heavy things feel, there’s always something in nature that pulls us back and reminds us to smile. And elephants? They’ve always had a special way of doing that.
The Smithsonian’s National Zoo gave everyone an exclusive, behind-the-scenes peek at their newest resident — a baby Asian elephant calf named Linh Mai. And honestly, the video is everything.
This little girl is splashing around in a bubble bath, wiggling and stumbling like she’s having the time of her life. You can’t watch it without grinning. It’s impossible.
She looks like every toddler you’ve ever seen who refuses to get out of the tub. Except, you know, she weighs 400 pounds.
And here’s what I love — those baths aren’t just cute. The zoo staff said the bubble baths are actually a vital part of her skincare routine. They also help her bond with the keepers who look after her every day. So what looks like playtime is really building trust between this little calf and the people caring for her. There’s honestly something kind of beautiful about that if you think about it.
She’s already a viral sensation on social media and her official public debut isn’t even until April 22nd. This girl hasn’t even stepped out yet and she’s already the biggest celebrity in D.C.
