Comedian Tim Hawkins had audiences in stitches with a routine about the one thing he says he’s actually better at than his wife.

Most husbands will tell you their wife runs the house, keeps the schedule straight and basically holds the whole family together. Tim Hawkins knows all of that is true. But he’s got one thing on her. Just one. He can drive better. And honestly that’s a win he’s holding onto for dear life.
“I love it when she’s behind the wheel; you never know what’s going to happen,” he tells the crowd. The moment she starts the car he goes into full survival mode. He’s grabbing everything he can, bracing himself like something terrible is about to happen. “Hold on, honey. Hold real quick,” he says and the whole room is already laughing.
But he’s not done. He starts strapping on seat belts. Not one. Three or four across his body. Then a helmet goes on. Then a mouthguard.
The man is suiting up like he’s heading into battle not a trip to the grocery store. He jokes that after riding with his wife husbands everywhere probably need dental protection just to survive the drive home.
We all have that one person in our life whose driving makes us pray a little harder. So next time you’re white-knuckling it in the passenger seat just laugh and thank God you made it home safe.
