A viral bass vocal cover of the classic song ‘Hallelujah’ by The Bass Gang is blowing people away with its raw depth and power.

Leonard Cohen wrote ‘Hallelujah’ in 1984. He spent years working on it, pulling together images of pain, longing and searching for something greater than himself.
We’ve all heard ‘Hallelujah’ so many times. Covers, talent shows, movie soundtracks, you name it. Every version hits a little different and somehow it never gets old. But this one stopped us completely.
The Bass Gang are four bass vocalists who’ve been performing together since 2021. Bobby Bass, Peter Barber, Tomi P and Marwan Ayman. They filmed this in a bright open garden wearing light simple clothing and honestly that contrast alone is something.
Because what comes out of their mouths is deep and heavy and rich in a way that just doesn’t match the setting at all and that’s exactly what makes it work.
When they hit that refrain together the voices stack up and it just stops being a cover. It becomes something else entirely.
The way they look, the garden setting, those deep powerful voices all coming together at once and honestly it feels like a group of angels that decided to come down and sing for us.
