When we think of Ground Zero, it’s impossible not to remember the tragedy that shook our nation twenty-five years ago. Looking back now, we can see how God carried this nation through it all and gave us hope.

During the 25th 9/11 anniversary, Lainey Wilson honored the nearly three thousand victims with a powerful rendition of the timeless Christian hymn ‘Amazing Grace.’

We’ve all known this song and its meaning for years. But when we hear it on this occasion, it hits us even harder. It reminds us of God’s never-ending mercy and love that comforts us in our deepest trials, heals our wounds, and gives us strength to move forward.

Wilson grew up singing in a small town church in Baskin Louisiana where hymns formed the foundation of her musical roots. Over the years, she climbed the Nashville charts to win major Grammy and CMA awards and became one of the most recognizable voices in modern country music. But her recent projects are deeply rooted in her Christian faith. Earlier this year she released a moving country gospel track titled ‘The Jesus I Know Now’ alongside Brandon Lake.

Backed by an incredible choir, she filled the night with warmth. Their voices rose together like a nation’s collective tribute to all those lost on 9/11.
