The family worship band Sounds Like Reign just put out a beautiful new cover of ‘Reason I Sing’ and it will absolutely lift your spirit right up.
Based in Rosman, North Carolina, Brackin and Lindsay Kirkland are a dedicated husband and wife raising their seven children for the Lord. Sounds Like Reign has built such a wonderful music ministry online over these last several years. What makes their music stand out is their thoughtful song selections gifted voices and their traditional background music. They have reached millions of viewers on YouTube without needing massive concert arenas.
This specific song was originally written by Christian worship leader Phil Wickham and Jonathan Smith back in 2021. The message of ‘Reason I Sing’ is incredibly comforting and deeply personal for us as believers today. It reminds us that Jesus reached into our darkest moments and pulled us gently into His light.
When we are exhausted by daily struggles or feel like we cannot keep going, we can find true rest knowing He has taken our heavy burdens away. He wrapped us up in His love and paid a debt we could never pay ourselves. That unending grace gives us the ultimate reason to praise Him every single day.
Brackin and Lindsay have given us so many beautiful Christian music performances over the years. Today I am so happy to see their children follow in their footsteps and perform in a full length video like this while Brackin supports them on the instruments.
The greatest thing a family could hand over to their next generation is not their wealth but their legacy of faith. We are seeing how God uses the next generation for His kingdom from the seeds He planted in their parents hearts years ago. I actually got teary eyed watching them and hearing these young voices declare “for the cross that you bore and the debt that you paid for the victory you won over death and the grave.”
This family performance invites us to reflect on God’s goodness and promises. If you love uplifting Christian worship music this cover of ‘Reason I Sing’ is something you really need to watch. It left me feeling so peaceful and filled with gratitude for our amazing Savior Jesus Christ.
