Kristin Villanueva, 17-year-old girl and her family were on vacation, when a burglar broke into their home and stole all her college savings. Kristin, a high school graduate and valedictorian of El Segundo High School had saved up the money by tutoring other students. She was heartbroken to discover the robbery. When the El Segundo Police Force heard Kristin’s story, they decided to help the hardworking teen. They launched a GoFundMe campaign for Kristin and successfully raised over $5,000.
