Julie Gaulkie is a composer, vocalist, and multitracking artist on Youtube. She performs all the parts of the song and layers the tracks together to form one cohesive track.

Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.

Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day;
Earth’s joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou who changest not, abide with me.

Scottish Anglican cleric Francis Lyte wrote the song ‘Abide with me’ in 1847 as a prayer for God to stay with him throughout life and in death, as he was dying from tuberculosis. He passed away 10 weeks after preaching his farewell sermon on Sept 4, 1847, which included the lyrics of Abide With Me.
