In life, many things can shake us—bad news, sickness, fear of the unknown. But it is in these moments we’re reminded of how much we need God.

Faith is not just a part of our story when things go well. It becomes our strength when things fall apart.

Arnold’s testimony comes as a reminder that no matter what we face, God’s love remains constant and powerful.

Arnold took to Instagram earlier this week to share the difficult update with his fans. After falling ill, he sought medical attention and learned that the cancer had already spread to his lungs.

“Got some not-so-good news for you today,” he said in a video. “\[It] had metastasized into my lungs, and that’s stage four, and that’s not real good.”

The news was tough to deliver, but Arnold didn’t speak with fear or despair. Instead, he spoke with bold trust in God.

“We serve a mighty God and He can overcome anything,” Arnold declared. “So I have no fear. I really sincerely am not scared of it at all.”

The singer also apologized for canceling 3 Doors Down’s upcoming summer tour. He humbly asked his fans and followers to lift him up in prayer.

“I’d love for you to lift me up in prayer,” he said. He ended the video with a message of hope: “God loves you.”

Arnold’s bold faith is not new. In recent years, he’s become more vocal about his walk with Christ.

During a concert last August, before performing the song ‘Away From the Sun,’ he paused to speak directly to the audience.

He shared how God had laid it on his heart to start telling fans about Jesus during their shows.

“I feel like I can identify with this song more than most of our songs,” he said, calling ‘Away From the Sun’ his favorite ballad. “This world surrounds by a message we’ll never be good enough, we’ll never be strong enough, we’ll never be beautiful enough, we’ll never be rich enough.”

Arnold called out the pressure people feel from social media and the world around them and spoke truth into it. “My friends, I just want to take a second to tell you — that’s an absolute lie,” he said.

“You are loved. You are enough, and you will win. Not only can you win, but you will win. You’ll always be enough for one reason, and that’s because Jesus Christ loves you.”

These words now carry even more weight as Arnold enters a deeply personal battle. Yet through it all, his message has remained the same—hope in Christ, confidence in God’s power, and love that never fails.

Let’s take Brad Arnold’s words to heart. Life can feel uncertain, but when we place our trust in Jesus, fear loses its grip. Even in the face of cancer, we can speak boldly, knowing God is with us.

Please join us in lifting up Brad Arnold in prayer. May God give him strength, healing, and peace in the days ahead.
