Two American Idol alums perform a stunning cover of Brandon Lake’s worship song ‘Gratitude.’
Breanna Nix comes from Denton, Texas. She started leading worship at her church when she was only twelve years old.
Rylie O’Neil, who goes by the artist name IAMKNOWN joined her in this moving performance.
Both of them chose to sing about Jesus throughout their time on American Idol. Now they’re continuing that witness through this powerful new collaboration.
During their time on American Idol, their performance of this same song was so beautiful that Jelly Roll, who was there during Hollywood Week, pulled out his phone right away.
He called Brandon Lake on FaceTime so the songwriter could hear it happen live.
Lake told them it was “the most gorgeous version of ‘Gratitude’ I have ever heard.” He was so moved that he came out on stage to congratulate them face to face.
Now they’ve brought that same heartfelt worship to this new video recording.
Judge Carrie Underwood got emotional watching them sing.
She told them: “It is a brave thing to do because there are a lot of outside forces that are going to tell you not to do that. I want to tell you that I’m proud of you guys.”
Brandon Lake wrote “Gratitude” in 2022, and it soon became a favorite worship song in churches everywhere.
