The musical family group Sounds Like Reign has touched hearts with their moving performance of ‘I Heard The Voice Of Jesus Say.’

The hymn ‘I Heard The Voice Of Jesus Say’ was written by Horatius Bonar in 1846, inspired by Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

This powerful hymn reminds us that Jesus offers peace to the weary, living water to the thirsty, and light to those in darkness.

Brackin Kirkland brings his musical gifts as both a skilled player of many instruments and a sound engineer to create songs that tell God’s stories. His wife Lindsay adds her clear, gentle voice to their music, making their sound both simple and powerful.

Together, they create what they call a “sonic exploration of faith in God” – making music that helps people focus on God and follow Jesus.

In this video, Bracklin and Lindsay Kirkland honor God with a beautiful rendition of ‘I Heard The Voice Of Jesus Say’, featuring their 9-year-old son Silas Kirkland.

God uses gifted families like the Kirklands to share His love through music that speaks to the heart. When we see how they use their talents to point others to God, it reminds us that we each have special gifts we can use to serve Him.

May their music encourage more families to worship together and use their gifts to glorify God.

Verse of the Day

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!”

Philippians 2:5-8
