A men’s chorus and two world-champion barbershop quartets came together to perform a stunning a cappella version of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water.’

Some songs just stay with you. ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ is one of those songs. Paul Simon wrote it in 1969 and it has been comforting people ever since. It is not a church hymn but it draws deeply from the African-American gospel tradition and you can feel that when you hear it.
This particular performance features Zero8, an award-winning Swedish men’s chorus, alongside two world-champion barbershop quartets called Ringmasters and Lemon Squeezy.
The quartets take the lead vocals while Zero8 fills out the sound behind them. There are no instruments. Just voices. And honestly it is incredible what they pull off together.
The song itself carries a powerful message. It is about friendship and loyalty. It is about telling someone “I am here and I am not going anywhere” when life gets hard. We all know what it feels like to need that from someone.
We hope this lifts your spirits today. And if you know someone who is struggling, maybe share it with them. Sometimes the right song at the right moment says everything words alone cannot.
