Collabro became a household name in England after they won Britain’s Got Talent Series 8 (2014). The talented performers have continued to entertain audiences with their chart-topping albums and global tours.

Collabro is made up of four singers with very distinct voices- Matt Pagan, Jamie Lambert, Thomas Redgrave, and Michael Auger. Their versatile voices easily balance out harmonies from various musical genres.

“Bridge over troubled Water” is a song about somebody who is living through a trying time in their life. The words “And I will lay me down” talks about the sacrifices and perseverance they have to go through in a difficult situation.

When you’re weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, i will dry them all;
I’m on your side. when times get rough
And friends just can’t be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

It was in 1971 when Aretha Franklin took “Bridge over troubled Water” to church, and confirmed it’s status as a secular gospel song.

When you’re down and out,
When you’re on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
I’ll take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silver,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.

Their voices are individually stunning and collectively they are shining like gold with this album. We truly are blessed with this beautiful cover by Collabro.

Verse of the Day

“[Christ’s Birth Announced to Mary] Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!””

Luke 1:26-28
