Hollywood actor Chris Pratt led his fans in prayer on Instagram in powerful video.
When actors come on social media, they usually talk about their latest movie or achievement. But Chris Pratt did something far greater. He used his platform to invite people into a prayer moment.
The video starts with Pratt speaking directly to his camera. “Hey guys, just stop real quick and pray with me,” he says.
Pratt closes his eyes and begins his prayer by quoting Psalm 46:10. “Lord, you say, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ Psalm 46:10, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ In this moment, please Lord, calm my restless mind, quiet my anxious heart.”
He continues with heartfelt words about finding peace. “Help me set aside distractions and choose what gives life and gives peace. Isaiah 26:3, you keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on you, Lord. Fill me with strength to turn my attention toward you that I find rest and joy in your presence. Amen.”
After saying “Amen,” Pratt doesn’t just end the video. He gives his followers some real talk about how they spend their time. “Okay, now you can continue strolling or you can turn your phone off and go outside. Might I suggest the ladder? Go get some sunshine. Go look at a tree. Touch some grass. Call a friend.”
Then he gets more direct. “If you’ve got time to be on your phone right now, you’ve got time to do your to-do list, and you’ve got time to reach out to somebody in need and share this prayer with them. Amen.”
Christian singer Lauren Daigle saw the post and left a comment that many people shared. She wrote, “Prayer is a miracle. Something so simple but so powerful.”
Chris Pratt’s words hit home for many of us. If you have time to scroll through social media, you have time to pray. You have time to call someone who needs encouragement. You have time to do something that actually matters for God’s kingdom.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about using the minutes God gives us each day in ways that count.
