A bear cub is caught on camera ‘dancing’ like nobody is watching.
The Help Alberta Wildies Society puts cameras in the woods to watch the wild horses. But sometimes these cameras catch other animals too.
Back in 2022, one of their cameras spotted a mama bear walking with her two cubs.
Everything seemed normal at first. The mama bear walked past a little tree, and one cub followed her. But the second cub stopped right by that tree. He stood up on his back legs like he was getting ready for something special.
What came next made everyone laugh. The little cub started moving back and forth against the tree. His whole body wiggled and swayed.
He reached up to grab the branches while his hips moved from side to side. His head bobbed up and down as the tree moved with him.
The people who found this video added some fun music to it. They made it look like the cub was putting on a real dance show. The music made the whole thing even more delightful to watch.
But here’s the simple truth. The cub wasn’t really dancing at all. His back was itchy, and he was just using that tree as a scratching post.
Without the music, it would have been a pretty ordinary moment in the woods.
