Bear, a neglected and emaciated Doberman mix, experienced a life-changing moment through the kindness of one man. He was extremely underweight, his ribs were visible through his coat.
Rocky Kanaka, who shared Bear’s story on YouTube, was deeply shocked by his condition. He said, “He is, honestly, I don’t know how he’s still here.”
Bear was found near a Chick-fil-A, likely searching for food. At first, Bear was wary of Rocky. He didn’t make eye contact and turned away. But Rocky was patient. He offered Bear treats and spoke to him gently. Gradually, Bear started to trust him. He began sniffing Rocky and even made brief eye contact.
A special moment occurred when Rocky called Bear a “good boy.” Bear’s reaction was touching. He wagged his tail and looked at Rocky. This showed how much positive words mattered to Bear, who had been through so much neglect.
