Fountainview Academy Sings Uplifting Rendition Of ‘Give Me The Bible’

Fountainview Academy sings a beautiful rendition of the classic hymn, ‘Give Me the Bible,’ as part of their “The Great Controversy” DVD which was filmed in Europe.

The words were written by Priscilla Owens, who was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years and the music was composed by Edmund Simon Lorenz. He was a minister of the United Brethren Church in Dayton, Ohio, and became very successful and founded the Lorenz and Company.

Give me the Bible, star of gladness gleaming,
To cheer the wand’rer lone and tempest tossed;
No storm can hide that radiance peaceful beaming,
Since Jesus came to seek and save the lost.

Give me the Bible, holy message shining;
Thy light shall guide me in the narrow way;
Precept and promise, law and love combining,
Till night shall vanish in eternal day.

What a blessing the Fountainview Academy is to the whole world as they sing this ageless classic filmed in a beautiful background in Europe.

Verse of the Day

[Ask, Seek, Knock] “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. — Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV)
