Girl With Down Syndrome Lives Out Her Dream Of Being A Flight Attendant

Georgia Knoll, is a name that is inspiring thousands of people with special needs. She has taken part in ramp walking and modelling jobs.

But this time, the 25-year-old woman with Down Syndrome pushed the boundaries when she got a rare chance to be a part of a cabin crew!

She greeted passengers, welcomed them onboard and even demonstrated safety instruction for Jetstar Airways in Australia with all sincerity even though it was for a day.

She got this opportunity after she shared a video of her practicing the safety demonstration posted on her Facebook page, Georgia Knoll’s Journey, in November which attracted a lot of attention as it went viral and was seen by Jetstar Airways as well.

The aviation company decided to let her live her dream by inviting her to fly as an air-hostess for a day. The company said in a statement Knoll was, “learning the ropes and meeting crew and pilots at Brisbane Airport, before receiving her uniform and ‘wings’ a badge given to cabin crew before they take their first flight.”

Knoll learned the tricks of the trade and officially joined the crew, “welcoming customers on-board, assisting with the safety briefing and delivering meal service on a flight back to her home town of Mackay in Queensland.”

Jetstar cabin crew manager Nicky said it was wonderful to have Knoll on board as she represents and fights for people with disabilities with a moto ‘break the barrier’.

“Georgia is so full of life and is great with our customers, she was such a fantastic addition to our team and we all felt so lucky to have her spend the day with us,” she was quoted.

“I’m passionate about being a flight attendant because it’s about making people happy” she said wearing the orange coat of the carrier.
