Jonathan Ogden sings a beautiful acoustic version of ‘It Is Well With My Soul.’ The original hymn was written by Horatio Spafford in 1873.
Spafford wrote this hymn after traumatic events in his life. He lost all four of his daughters when their ship sank. When he traveled to meet his grieving wife, he was inspired to write these words:
When peace like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soulIt is well
With my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul
Jonathan Ogden revisits this classic hymn today, and we are blessed to hear him sing and play this timeless song.
