An ER nurse asked her two little boys if she should quit her job and become a farmer and their response was absolutely priceless.

We all know kids have zero filter. They just say whatever comes to mind and honestly that’s what makes them so funny. God gave children this ability to just cut right through all the nonsense and tell you exactly how it is. And this mama found that out the hard way.
The Boys Were Not Having It
So this mom sits down with her sons. Seven-year-old Jack and three-year-old Hank. She’s probably exhausted from working the ER and she throws out this idea about becoming a farmer. Like maybe she’s half serious half joking. Either way the boys shut it down immediately.
Jack starts explaining how driving a tractor is not just some casual thing you pick up on a Tuesday. You can’t just climb in and go. His mom tries to argue that it looks pretty simple. Just push some buttons and press the gas right? Jack is not buying it.
Then she pulls out the classic move. She tells him she’ll just watch a YouTube tutorial. And Jack basically tells her that’s ridiculous. You need actual hands-on experience not some ten minute video from the internet. I mean the kid has a point.
Even Little Hank Said Nope
She figures okay maybe the little one will be on my side. So she asks three-year-old Hank if he thinks mama can handle a tractor. And Hank just goes “Nope.” No hesitation. No sugar coating. Just nope. That boy did not even think twice about it.
The Satellite System Changes Everything
Jack does eventually try to help his mom out a little. He brings up the satellite system which keeps the tractor driving in a straight line. Mom gets all excited thinking she can just press one button and sit back while the machine does the work.
But Jack corrects her real quick. The GPS keeps the tractor straight but when it reaches the end of the field the dashboard just starts beeping. It won’t turn around for you. You still have to grab the wheel yourself and steer it into the next row because the system has no idea which way you want to go.
Mom The Farmer
Does that stop her? Not even a little bit. She decides handling the turns is easy enough and announces she’s officially ready to quit the ER.
When she says “Mom the farmer,” you can tell her kids are completely unconvinced. She playfully heads off to go find the tractor keys and the whole thing just ends in laughter.
God places these little people in our lives for a reason. They keep us humble and they keep us laughing. And we need that. Especially when the days are long and the work is draining. So next time your kids tell you that you’re not qualified for something just laugh it off. Those silly unscripted moments are some of the greatest blessings we will ever get.
