Jessica was just 10-years-old when she first auditioned for AGT during its very first season in 2006. She made it all the way to the semifinals before getting eliminated.

Jessica sang Celine Dion’s ‘I Surrender’ during that first season and her performance touched many hearts. But the rejection made a huge impact on that young girl.

“Throughout the years I kind of fell out of love of music because I was really young and I was so swayed by what everyone wanted me to be, who they wanted me to be,” she told the judges.

Jessica tried again on American Idol in 2012 during Season 11. The judges used their one save to keep her in the competition, and she made it to the finale.

But even after that success, Jessica struggled to find her place in the music world.

Now 29 years old, Jessica returned to AGT as a completely different person. She’s married and expecting her first baby.

“Maybe it took me 20 years, but I know exactly who I am, I know exactly what I want. I’m excited to be back,” she said with confidence.

When Jessica sang Benson Boone’s hit song ‘Beautiful Things,’ the audience jumped to their feet. Her voice was powerful and clear. Judge Mel B was amazed by her voice.

Sofia Vergara was so moved that she slammed the Golden Buzzer. “I think there is something very special happen[ing] on this stage with you.”

“It’s so amazing that we are on the 20th anniversary, the 20th season, you’re here again after 20 years, you’re pregnant, you’re so beautiful, you’re so ready to do all this,” Sofia told her.
