A young girl has inspired thousands of people with her powerful prayer for her father’s healing.
A family becomes a blessing when God is the center of their home. No problems or hardships can shake them because they are rooted in prayer and scripture. They fight every battle together on their knees.
In a precious clip, a little girl prays for her dad and shares sweet advice with her younger sister about the power of prayer.
A Sweet Request
In a quiet moment at home, a father lay in bed because he did not feel well. He told his family that his head hurt. His oldest daughter saw him suffering and wanted to help.
She did not look for medicine first. Instead, she asked her dad a very important question. “Um, how about we can just pray with God?” she asked. She wanted to make sure it was okay to talk to the Lord about his pain.
Leading by Example
The little girl placed both of her hands on her father’s head. She spoke a very precious prayer from her heart. “Jesus, please, can you help daddy’s head feel better? Amen,” she said.
Her mother watched the whole thing. The mother told the girls that praying is what we do whenever we have trouble.
The lesson did not stop there. The younger sister was watching her big sister closely. Because she saw the good example, the younger sibling also started to pray for her father’s headache. She asked the Lord to make him feel better too.
The older girl had become a role model for her sister by showing her the power of prayer.
A Sister’s Advice
The mother was very proud to see her daughters turning to faith. She told the oldest girl, “Look, you’re teaching your little sister. When things are wrong, you pray about it.” She reminded them both that Jesus is “the God around us” and “your best friend.”
The girls agreed that they were both good sisters because they cared for their father and shared their love for God.
The older sister then gave her younger sister a powerful piece of advice. She told her, “If anything is wrong, you should pray to Jesus.”
It is a blessing to see a home where God is the first person we talk to when life gets hard. These precious little girls were not just praying for their father; instead, they were preaching the powerful gospel to all of us.
