After Michaela’s parents died, she was abandoned in an orphanage in South Africa. Where every child was known by a number from 1 to 27. 1 was the favorite child and 27 for the least favorite. Michaela was 27, she was neglected because of her skin condition and tormented as a “devil child”. However, an American couple adopted her, they found her passion in dancing and encouraged her. Michaela attended the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at the American Ballet Theatre. It was a turning point in the life of Michaela. With her determination and love of her adoptive parents, Michaela has appeared in the ballet documentary First Position, Dancing with the Stars and in many other TV shows. Now the young girl amazed everyone with her talent and inspires the world with her book ‘taking flight’.
