Comedian Mike Goodwin’s unique take on the story of Abraham and Isaac leaves the crowd roaring with laughter.
In the video, Mike Goodwin takes us back to Genesis 22 where God told Abraham to sacrifice his son. He then paints the picture of them heading to the mountaintop.
Goodwin hilariously imagines what it would have been like if he were Isaac. “I don’t know if Isaac knew what was going on, but if I was Isaac, it wouldn’t have been that easy to catch me.”
God stopped Abraham the moment he was about to act and provided a ram instead.
The comedian then wonders what the relationship between Abraham and Isaac may have looked like after the incident. Mike says it was “probably the last father-son trip that Abraham and Isaac went on together.”
He imagines a scene where Abraham tries to get Isaac to run an errand to Damascus. Isaac just isn’t having it. “What you’re not going to do is get me out here and try to sacrifice me again,” Mike quips.
