An amazing video captures a pigeon named Atlas play soothing music on a harp.
The video begins with a woman speaking softly to the bird. She asks Atlas to step up and try to play the instrument.
Atlas listens to her voice and begins to pluck the strings with his beak. The sounds he makes are very calm and gentle.
The woman has clearly spent a long time teaching Atlas how to perform. She encourages him by saying, “Can you play?” and “Play better than that.”
Atlas works hard to follow her instructions. He looks focused as he hits the right notes for her.
When he finishes a song, his owner is quick to praise him. She tells him, “Good boy” and lets him know he earned a treat.
At one point, Atlas hopes for a snack before he is finished. She tells him, “Oh, treat after you play.”
Atlas steps up again to play one more time and fills the room with the soothing sound of the harp.
