An officer in Murfreesboro, Tenn., helped an elderly woman make it to her hair appointment on time.

See the sweet interaction between the two in this video that was shared on TikTok. They were spotted talking on the side of a busy highway the lady was walking on.
There has to be more done for the elderly in terms of road infrastructure because this woman was dropped off a mile away from her hair salon, and she would have had to cover that distance with her walker.
Murfreesboro Officer Lance Hofmeister was near a busy highway on duty when he saw 84-year-old Elizabeth Goode walking with her walker.
The kindhearted officer was moved to do something about her situation and asked her if he could drop her off where she was going.
She told him she was walking to her hair appointment because the bus she took from Nashville had dropped her about a mile up the road.
Officer Hofmeister said she reminded him of his grandmother, and he could not let her walk on that road where frequent accidents occurred. The officer’s kind act was captured on his dash cam.
Officer Lance Hofmeister said, “I lost my grandmother a couple of years back, and it just gave me that feeling all over again of just the sincere nostalgic – it was a great feeling. It was definitely a sweet moment. I’ll always remember it.”
This heartwarming act of kindness reminds us to be kind to the elderly and help them whenever we are able.
