“Go, go, go, go!” these brave Los Angeles policemen shouted as they hurriedly pulled the injured pilot out of his plane.

These officers’ adrenaline surely fired up as they rushed to respond to the site when a Cessna 172, a single-engine airplane, landed unexpectedly on Metrolink Antelope Valley line train tracks, Fox News reported. That scenario alone is too much to handle.

But an arriving commuter train slamming into the crashed plane is another thing. “It wasn’t until I heard one of my coworkers behind me say, ‘The train is coming, and we need to get him out now,'” Officer Christopher Aboyte told CNN what happened. “At that point, I never actually turned to see the train, just focused on getting the pilot out and getting away from that aircraft since there was a lot of aircraft fuel on the ground.”

The unnamed, seriously injured pilot was hurriedly pulled out from the pilot’s seat by a couple of police officers and was moved to safety seconds before the train slammed powerfully to the plane. The scary encounter was recorded on video. It seemed that a scene from an action movie happened before the officers’ eyes.

LAPD HQ tweeted this message on their account with the video of the heroic rescue. “Foothill Division Officers displayed heroism and quick action by saving the life of a pilot who made an emergency landing on the railroad tracks at San Fernando Rd. and Osborne St., just before an oncoming train collided with the aircraft.”

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that the plane crashed shortly after it took off at Whiteman Airport in Pacoima, California a few days ago. They arrived soon to contain the spilled fuel and to attend to the pilot’s injuries. He was taken to a regional trauma center for further treatment.
