This little girl has been inspiring the parents of premature babies since her mother shared this cute photo on Facebook five days after her birth.
Freya was born premature, she just weighed 3 lbs. Her mother, Laurie wrote “Our first daughter at five days old. 3 lbs. 14 oz., she was happy to be alive! This picture was one I looked at often to get me through the ups and downs of our NICU days. Life is so precious.”
Laurie shared her baby’s photo on Facebook and within hours parents from all over the world were sharing stories of their own premature babies.
Freya defied all odds and will celebrate her second birthday next month.
“She’s so fun. She’s so happy. That picture at five days old, you can see her little personality and you look at her now, and she hasn’t changed. She’s still the happy little girl in that photo.”
