On an Australian TV news show, a reporter couldn’t stop laughing during a live interview with a celebrity cat.
Karl Stefanovic, a well-known TV host, was interviewing Grumpy Cat. This cat was famous online for looking always grumpy. The interview was supposed to be light and fun, but it turned out to be much more amusing.
The YouTube video shows Karl asking the cat about being on the Today Show. As expected, the cat doesn’t respond. Karl’s question about the cat’s thoughts on Mondays also gets no reaction, just a grumpy stare.
The mood changes when Karl mentions the cat’s new book. The cat moves a bit, maybe liking the mention of its book. But when Karl asks about the cat’s opinion on Australian politicians, he starts laughing hard. He leans back, laughing, and says, “Look at that cat!” He even compares the cat to a Star Wars character, Jabba the Hut.
Karl ends the interview by saying it went well and he’s excited for the cat’s visit to Australia. Throughout, Grumpy Cat stays serious and doesn’t smile.
