They aren’t called man’s best friend for nothing—dogs truly are lifesavers. A dog named Clover is being hailed as a hero in Canada after she saved her owner’s life.
Haley Moore was out walking with Clover when she suddenly experienced a seizure and collapsed on the curb.
The incident took place in the Stittsville neighborhood of Ottawa and was captured by a neighbor’s security camera.
Clover, a year-and-a-half-old Maremma mix, immediately sprung into action. After freeing herself from her leash, she stood in the middle of the street and stopped traffic.
Dryden Oatway, who was driving along the road when Clover stopped him, said, “It was really impressive, the dog actually blocked my way. She kind of backed into the road to block my truck.”
Clover stopped another driver before returning home. “All I remember is waking up in the ambulance and being really confused, just like, ‘What is going on?'” Moore recalled in an interview.
Her dad, Randall Moore, said Clover was rewarded with steaks. She deserves this and more for her faithful service to the family.
