A YouTube video shows what happened when residents at a retirement center gathered to listen to classic songs.

When Franklin’s 1967 hit ‘Respect’ started playing, one man and one woman jumped up from their seats. They couldn’t just sit and listen to their favorite classic.

These two started a full on friendly dance competition right there in front of everyone. They moved around the floor with ease, stepping and turning with real rhythm.

Near the end of the short clip, two more people joined them on the dance floor making the moment even more sweet.

This sweet video reminds us that joy doesn’t have an expiration date. These dancers didn’t worry about what anyone thought. They just got up and danced to their beloved music.

Let their example encourage us to find reasons to smile and celebrate each day.

Verse of the Day

“[The Day of the Lord] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,”

2 Peter 3:10-11
