7-Year-Old Terminally Ill Boy Sworn In As Honorary Cop

A terminally ill seven-year-old boy in California achieved his dream of becoming a Police officer following in his dad’s footsteps, who is a sergeant with the Torrance Police Department.

The boy, Drake Walker, was sworn in as honorary police officer, during a meeting at the City Council with relatives and friends.Walker was diagnosed in August, with an aggressive and inoperable tumour on his brain stem; and a GoFundMe campaign has also been set up for the Walker family.

The campaign says: “We hope to bless them in this (monetary) way to ease even a tiny bit of burden they might face along their journey AND memories of fun that will last forever. All funds raised go directly to the family to help support them in any way during this difficult time.”

Verse of the Day

“[God the Sovereign Savior] To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David the servant of the Lord, who spoke to the Lord the words of this song on the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said: I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Psalm 18:1-2
