Two Toddlers Wander Onto a Busy Highway and a Good Samaritan Instantly Jumps Into Action

John Brittingham was just driving home on a Sunday when he saw something that stopped his heart. He spotted two tiny girls wandering right into the middle of a busy Florida highway.

John was heading southbound on A1A in Brevard County when he noticed the toddlers in the road. One of the girls was already standing in the middle of the pavement. He did not have time to think.

He pulled his vehicle over and ran toward them as fast as he could. He used one hand to signal the oncoming traffic to stop. Then he scooped up both little girls. The whole rescue happened in just six seconds.

His dash camera caught the whole thing on video. You can see the little girls putting their arms up toward him.

He started knocking on doors to find where they belonged. He found a nearby Airbnb with an open back gate. That is how the kids got out while the adults were busy.

An elderly couple and a young girl were inside. They had no idea the toddlers were even gone. They were so sorry and shocked. John did not call the police because he just wanted to get them back where they were safe.

He and his wife have five children and grandkids of their own. He knows how fast kids can move. He wants people to remember how important it is to keep a close eye on the little ones.

“I was terrified thinking of what could have happened to them. The rest of my life would have been ruined,” John said.

Thank God for placing John there to save these toddlers’ precious lives. God is watching over His children at all times.

Verse of the Day

“that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”

2 Corinthians 5:19-20
