If you really want to know the secret of living a long life then hear it from the world’s oldest living man- 112-year-old Emilio Flores Márquez, who says faith in Jesus Christ is the reason.
Emilio Flores Márquez was born on Aug. 8, 1908, in Carolina, Puerto Rico, and has seen the world transform tremendously all these years and has lived under 21 U.S. presidents.
The second of 11 children and his parent’s right-hand man, he helped raise his siblings and learned how to run a sugar cane farm. His family may not have had everything but still managed to give him everything he needed, like a loving home, job skills, and faith in Christ.
He was taught by his parents how to live a life of abundance- not in material things but in Godly things. Emilio now holds the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s oldest living man, and says his secret is Christ who lives in him!
“My father raised me with love, loving everyone,” Emilio explained. “He always told me and my siblings to do good, to share everything with others. Besides, Christ lives in me.”
He learned to let all the negative things out of his life like bitterness, anger, and malice because these things can poison one to the core.
What pearls of wisdom Emilio has given us today, just like him we must hold on to the word of God and live a life of abundance in love as we learn to live for Christ.
