A 3-year-old singer lifted her voice to praise Jesus with ‘Gethsemane’ during an Easter Sunday service.
Dressed in a pink dress with black shoes and her hair neatly braided, this young girl confidently approached the microphone. The words that followed were an expression of the purest faith:
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He went willingly
To Gethsemane
This simple chorus sung by a child so young truly underscores the profound message of the Gospel: that Jesus Christ, in his immeasurable love for us, willingly journeyed to Gethsemane and then onto the cross, to ultimately triumph over sin and death for the sake of all believers.
God’s Grace Through a Child’s Voice
Through this little one, we were reminded of our heavenly Father’s boundless love for us. Just as her parents were filled with pride at her brave solo, our Father’s love for us runs even deeper. We may often feel that we have nothing to offer Him, nothing of worth or merit. But He cherishes our praises and sacrifices, no matter how small they may seem to us.
Let little girl’s song inspire us all to embrace the grace of God with childlike faith and to express our love for Him in our own unique ways, knowing that He cherishes every act of devotion.
