Kids Try to Explain What Their Parents Do for a Living and the Results Are Priceless

A group of little kids tried their best to explain what their parents do for work and honestly their answers are the funniest thing you’ll see today.

kids explaining parents job

So we all know kids say the wildest things. But when you sit a preschooler down and ask them what mommy or daddy does all day that’s when it gets really good. God wired these little ones with so much imagination and zero filter and we are here for it.

“She Works With Her Friend and She Works Out”

One little girl was asked about her mom’s job and she said her mom “works with her friend and she works out.” Her mom Raven is a lawyer. Not even close baby girl but we love the confidence.

Another kid said mommy “does her computer” which honestly is not wrong. Her mom Melissa works in real estate development so yeah there’s probably a lot of computer time happening.

“We Just Work at Airplanes, Okay?”

When one kid was asked about his dad Wade who plans where airplanes go at Allegiant Air he just shut the whole conversation down. “We just work at airplanes, okay?” That’s it. Discussion over. You can’t argue with that kind of energy from a four year old.

“He Makes Ice Cream”

One boy said his dad “makes ice cream” and his dad Dominic actually works as a CIP operator at Wells Ice Cream Plant so that kid gets partial credit for sure.

And Dean who is a pilot got a pretty solid answer from his kid. “Fly planes. He gets some snacks in airplanes.” I mean that’s basically the job description right there.

These Kids Get It More Than They Know

Here’s what gets me. These kids don’t know job titles or salaries or any of that. But they know their parents leave and come back. They know mom works hard and dad shows up.

And that right there is the heart of what God designed a family to be. We could all learn something from how these babies see the world. Just pure and full of trust.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV)
