A man pretended to be fresh out of jail, asked a junk removal boss if he could work for some food, but the boss’s response left him speechless and touched the hearts of thousands online.

Most of us have made choices we are not proud of. But God in His mercy came to us and redeemed us from that dirty pit.
When God transforms someone it is not just one corner of their life that gets fixed but their whole heart changes and the people around them start feeling it too. And that is exactly what this man experienced in his own life.
Josh Liljenquist known online as “Joshlilj” runs a popular channel where he tests strangers by pretending to be in need and then surprises the kindest ones with money through crowdfunding.
In this video he walked up to a junk removal crew that was working outside and told them he had just gotten out of jail. He asked if he could help with heavy lifting in exchange for some food.
The owner of The Junker Mobile Company did not make him work for anything. He just told Josh to sit down and enjoy some pizza.
As they talked the owner opened up about his past. He said he had made a lot of bad choices and ended up with a criminal record. But his turning point came when his young son had to have a cranial vault remodel.
Doctors had to open his skull from ear to ear so his brain could grow properly. That experience woke him up completely. He said “This is what God brought me. I feel blessed.”
His son told him something recently that he says carries him every day. The boy said “Dad I am glad you went through the things you went through because it made you who you are today. You are pretty lit Dad.”
When Josh revealed the experiment and offered him a cash reward for his kindness the owner said no without hesitating. He said “I am gonna be a good person without your money.” Then he told Josh that someone else on his crew needed it far more.
He pointed Josh to his employee Brian. Brian was renting an empty apartment and trying to save up for furniture and food so he could bring his kids to live with him.
When Josh handed Brian the money Brian got emotional. He looked toward his boss and said that was just the kind of person his boss was.
The owner also shared that the year before they had given out twelve full Thanksgiving meals to families in need. He smiled and said “God did that.”
His whole goal in life right now is bigger than just running a successful business. He told Josh “My dream is to climb to the top and bring a bunch of people with me.” And he is already living that out by actually hiring people with criminal records who everyone else has turned away.
Maybe you are in a place where you see no way out. Maybe it is bad habits, a criminal record or a guilt you have been carrying for years. But God is in the business of new beginnings. He specializes in making new things out of broken ones. This man’s story is proof that God does not discard broken people. He rebuilds them into something far better than before.
