The talented youth choir and orchestra of Fountainview Academy perform a chill-inducing rendition of ‘The King is Coming’ against the beautiful backdrop of Ilha do Proamirim in Ubatuba, Brazil.

The young people in this choir did an amazing job singing the classic gospel hymn ‘The King is Coming’. It was written back in 1970 by the famous songwriters Bill and Gloria Gaither along with Chuck Millhuff. Gloria actually got the idea after hearing a powerful sermon about how joyful it will be when Jesus returns.
When you watch the video you can see that their performance feels like a royal welcoming to the King of kings Jesus Christ. The words of the song talk about a day when all regular life on earth just stops. The marketplaces will be empty and the courtrooms will be completely silent because Jesus is coming through the gates.
It makes us feel so happy to see these kids singing with everything they have and that deep joy on their faces fills our hearts up.
The music is just so powerful because the orchestra made the entire performance majestic with all their instruments playing together.
So this beautiful Christian song reminds us of three major truths that we need to hold onto today. First it reminds us that a wonderful day is coming where all our earthly pain and our sickness and our deep heartaches will completely disappear the very moment we meet Jesus Christ face to face.
Second it reminds us that the church is going to experience the ultimate victory in the end. We see so much terrible persecution against believers all over the news right now but this hymn reminds us that the enemy will not win because Jesus is returning as a triumphant King and every single knee will bow before Him.
Finally it reminds us to live our daily lives with our main focus fixed tightly on eternity.
