A Christian family band brings us to worship with their beautiful performance of Holy Forever.
Sounds Like Reign is a wonderful independent family music ministry based in the quiet countryside of North Carolina. The group was started by husband and wife Brackin and Lindsay Kirkland who decided to record simple acoustic worship songs right in their home.
Over the years their modest music videos have touched millions of hearts across the globe. Unlike many modern Christian bands, they mostly use traditional musical instruments in their performances. That along with their vocals makes their music videos unique.
The song they perform in this video is Holy Forever. It was written by well-known Christian songwriters Chris Tomlin Phil Wickham Jason Ingram Brian Johnson and Jenn Johnson back in 2022.
The message of this song gives us such a beautiful glimpse of what worship looks like in heaven right now. Chris Tomlin wrote these words based on Revelation chapter 4 where John gets a vision of heavenly beings surrounding God’s throne constantly singing Holy, Holy, Holy.
It reminds us that worship never stops and when we sing on earth, we step right into an eternal song that heaven has been singing from the beginning.
Thousands of generations have bowed down before us and believers who come after us will sing these same truths. His holy Name stands far above every earthly trouble, power and authority in this life.
Brackin and Lindsay Kirkland are blessed with eight children, one girl and seven boys. Watching this family lift their voices to Jesus fills my heart with joy.
