Two young brothers face a tricky backyard dilemma when they try getting on a giant trampoline without a ladder. Instead of giving up, they work together to find a heartwarming solution that leaves everyone smiling.
When I first stumbled across this video, my heart just melted. Anyone who has raised children or watched over grandkids knows how their little ones would respond if something is not working in the way they expect. We are familiar with those loud cries and calls for mom and dad. But these two sweet boys handled such a situation in a different way.
These two boys were out in the yard on a sunny day ready for some fun. The only problem was the trampoline mat was far too high for the little one to climb on his own. Most kids might cry out for an adult to come help or just walk away disappointed. But these brothers had a much better plan in mind.
The older boy bent his knees and gave his little brother a steady boost up. He held him securely until the younger one managed to scramble over the edge and land safely on the jumping mat. Honestly watching the older brother check on his little partner before trying to climb up himself was so touching to see. Once the little guy was safe the big brother pulled himself up over the frame.
What happened next truly touched my heart. The little brother didn’t just run off to start bouncing on the mat. Instead he stayed right there at the edge, waiting patiently for his big brother. He held the safety enclosure net up high with his small hands so his older brother had enough room to climb in easily.
The big brother then made sure that the safety enclosure net was fully closed so his little brother could play safely. What a thoughtful act from such a young boy.
When I look at these two young boys working hand in hand it hits my heart so deeply. Look at how God designed the family to stand as one in complete unity. Psalm 133 tells us how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in harmony because that is where the Lord commands His blessing.
The world tries to tear households apart but when a family stands together in love, no obstacle in life can hold them back. These sweet brothers gave us a powerful living sermon right there in their own backyard. One lifted the other high and the other held open the entrance. That is exactly how we are called to love in our homes by bearing one another’s burdens and lifting each other up when the climb gets tough.
My heart was just overflowing with thanksgiving watching them today because when family unity reigns in our hearts, God’s goodness fills our homes. Praise God for the gift of family togetherness!
