An airline pilot’s last day at work was made extra special by his passengers in the most beautiful way.

Brian Lenzen, an airline pilot, was about to retire from his decades-long career, and the passengers aboard his flight wanted to sing an emotional Irish goodbye for him.
The Chaska, Minnesota, pilot flew for 34 years with American Airlines before ending his illustrious career at age 65. Wearing his pilot’s uniform for the last time, he flew with a hand-picked crew of beloved colleagues and chose Dublin as his final destination. They stopped at an Irish pub and had a “wonderful time” before everyone returned home.

Coincidentally, an Irish choir was on board the return flight. When they learned it was his final journey, they asked a flight attendant if they could sing an Irish blessing for the pilot as part of his retirement celebration.
The captain was greeted by the St. Anthony on the Lake Choir as he exited the plane and was deeply moved. “It was just a very special moment,” Lenzen said. “I’m kind of an emotional guy anyway, and so I got a little tearful realizing that was for me.”

Lenzen received a fitting retirement send-off. As we can see, this is one of the most emotional videos we have seen in a long time.
